Coming to me for coaching is not a difficult thing to do!
Yes, I get it, you are entrusting me – another person – with your goals and aspirations! You know you will be sharing your personal opinions, and things about your private relationships, because that is going to be a part of the coaching relationship we have. – and because it is an important part of your life!
Nevertheless, and I am speaking for myself here, as your coach I will never judge you. As a matter of fact, my job is to do the exact opposite. I am here to listen to you, to pay attention to you and to help you find out where your strengths are. I will help you find the strengths that you have it in you, so that you can reach those goals you want.
Sure, there may be a few struggles involved along the way, but I want to help you get over what could have been holding you back – especially if you have been told that you can’t do this or aren’t ready to do that – so that you can go after that dream job, can have that good relationship, or reach those milestones that are important to you.
It is true: you can get out of a slump. I am here to help you get over those hurdles, and I will sit with you as you and I work these things out.
Almost everything we do in our conversations will have a purpose.
During our sessions, you can count on me to be constantly working to be present with you during our sessions, with the intention to listen deeply to what you are telling me. The questions I ask are only to facilitate your growth experience, I will not ask you questions just to be nosey or to pry into your life. If I ask tough questions, it’s because I think it might be helpful for you. In return, I ask that you show up and be fully present for our sessions.
I believe in you and I believe that things will work out for the best.
Regardless of the questions that are running through your mind, or the problems that keep popping up, or even the aspirations that you have, whatever it is that is bringing you to consult a coach, I believe that you are ready to move forward! You have recognized that this question or problem or aspiration is, in itself, a signal for you to act – to do something different that you have been doing all along.
I believe that you are striving for change, and just haven’t figured out yet, how to go about it. We can work on that.
I can’t change your circumstances, but I do believe I can help you to become unstuck, to see a problem from a different perspective, and that you can improve the quality of your life – if you are ready to commit to help yourself.
I believe in the good of every person – that includes you!
Through my coaching and counselling work, I have had the privilege of working with people from all kinds of backgrounds, cultures, and in various stages of their lives. I’ve worked with CEOs and with students, with homemakers and with engineers. When you and I work together, you are – as they were for me, first and foremost – a person. Someone that is worthy of respect and that deems my full attention.
I look forward to hearing about your goals and finding out what you think are your stumbling blocks. When we start on your growth journey together, we’ll be taking the first step towards progress.
With all my best,
Debby
